The Ministry of Investment has granted Delta Logistics a
10-year Strategic Investment Certificate. Certificates of this type and duration are rarely issued, recognition of the Sudanese Government’s confidence in the Delta Group and their belief that its operations will make a significant contribution to Sudan and the development of its economy. Delta plans an investment initially totalling US$ 60 million, to be phased in over 3 - 5 years. Delta will invest not only in state-of-the-art trucks and semitrailers but also in the human and physical infrastructure, a feature of Delta’s modus operandi wherever they operate. Delta’s experts from Turkey and around the World will train Sudanese staff that will eventually include 1,000 drivers, technicians and administrators. These staff will be the backbone of a network of high-tech, fully-equipped garages and workshops strategically positioned in Port Sudan, Khartoum, El Gedarif, El Obeid, Juba and other key locations. This strategy reflects Delta Logistic’s objective of becoming the benchmark for logistics excellence in the region.
